Good neighborhood theater. Love the MJR jingle and audience clapping along. Decent prices. Good audio quality with the right volume. Seats could be better - wider, perhaps comfier recliners will take things up a notch.
The only knock I have against the place is there has been sometimes that around the butter dispenser it was a mess. I do not know when the mess happened, but I have seen this twice. Overall the place is clean and offer many times for movies. It is an average price for tickets.
I only go to the theaters a few times year, but I always go to this movie theater and the concession stand is always no lines or 1 person ahead of you. The seats are comfortable and the screen and sound are great quality.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Lobby and theater were very clean. Popcorn was good, but costs too much.

Went to go see Star Wars at the Emagine and they were booked full for two shows straight with worst seats in the house. We left ready to go to the Canton 7 for a show two hours later but we took a chance on the MJR and we arrived to no lines for tickets, a 9% capacity theatre, no lines for concessions and we got best seats in the house. Were the seats some expensive reclining massaging sort that put you to sleep? No, but they leaned back and you could get comfortable enough to enjoy the movie and I'd take no lines, cheap tickets and best seats in the house over a publicly used La-Z-Boy anyways.
This is an amazing theater and the concession prices are actually very reasonable. Most people do not realize that when new movies come out, the theaters do not make any money off of the ticket prices; the movie making company receives 100% of the ticket proceeds for the first week or so and then the theater gradually starts getting a percentage of the ticket sales after the movie has been out for a little while. Theaters must rely on the sales from concessions in order to operate.
